The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav participated in a three-day workshop organized at Monash University, Australia from April 8th to April 10th on "Fight Against Online Child Exploitation" through online medium. The Aryabhatta Knowledge University had a major participation in this workshop held in collaboration with UNICEF and Cyberpeace Foundation. The overall goal is to understand the current state of technical prevention of child exploitation, related law enforcement initiatives in Australia and India and to develop partnership models of research informed innovation.

A meeting of the heads of the affiliated institutions of the Aryabhatta Knowledge University was called on 10.04.2024 at the University which was presided over by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav. Dr. Shankar Kumar, Registrar (I/c) elaborated on the purpose of the meeting which is to discuss academic and administrative reforms. The major discussions included strengthening of the university and the colleges, emphasis on academic and non-academic activities, full implementation of the NEP & processes to be adapted for NAAC. The institution heads also shared their feedback on the progress and challenges.

The Vice Chancellor of Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav, participated in a three-day workshop at Monash University, Australia, focusing on combating online child exploitation. The workshop aims to understand the technological landscape for countering child exploitation and explore partnership models for innovation. Monash University's The Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Law Enforcement and Community Safety (AiLECS) Lab has developed an AI system to detect CSAM with over 85% accuracy. UNICEF, Cyber Peace Foundation, and Monash University plan to adapt this technology to Bihar, India, with the aim of piloting it and scaling it across the country.

An MoU between Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, and the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, aims to merge modern science with traditional Ayurvedic practices. It facilitates faculty and student exchanges, modernizes Ayurveda with scientific equipment, and develops evidence-based guidelines. Joint initiatives include lectures, workshops, and seminars on Ayurveda and nanomedicine. The collaboration also promotes Ayurveda through public outreach and clinical training programs. Overall, the MoU aims to advance research and education in Ayurveda.

14th Foundation Day of Aryabhatta Knowledge University celebrated today. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav and Hon'ble Vice Chairman, Bihar State Higher Education Council Dr. Kameshwar Jha graced the occasion with their presence. As it was also the eve of Bihar Diwas, a programme - Bihar ke kisse, Bihar ka swad - was also organised in collaboration with the House of Variety to mark the 112th anniversary of the creation of Bihar. Prominent writers Sri Ratneshwar Kumar Singh, Smt. Bhavna Shekhar and Dr. Kumar Vimlendu Singh narrated stories of Bihar in kissagoi style.

An e-course titled ‘Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change for Adolescents and Youth’ got launched today at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) by the Chief Guest, Dr. Uday Kant Mishra, Hon’ble Vice Chairman, Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA). Other dignitaries who graced the launch ceremony included the Guest of Honour, Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, Ms. Margaret Gwada, Chief, UNICEF Bihar, Dr. Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, Mr. Kumod Kumar, CAO, CIMP and Dr. Sibananda Senapati, CIMP.
